Woooo!

Yesterday my family (minus Katy and Kyle and me) went to Disneyland as a post-cancer hurrah.  It was Lucy's first time--and she was in heaven.  She is obsessed with princesses, so she freaked out with joy when she got to meet and hug them.  PLUS Danny got a sweet motorized wheelchair, so they didn't have to wait in any lines.  It sounds like the perfect Disneyland trip.

Lucky for me, they thought it made perfect sense to drive from LA to southern Utah and extend their vacation.  They're meeting us in Zions tonight and I am freakishly excited for our trip!  I LOVE Zions.  My family has been going there for years. I've really wanted to take Kyle there and have him experience our favorite Zions traditions, and now I finally get to.  PLUS I get to hang out with Lucy.  I can't wait to get there.  We're taking off after Kyle gets home from work.  I charged Katy with making awesome CDs to amuse us on the drive down.  I have Valentines Day treats for everyone AND we're having an early birthday party for Kyle.  The weather is even pretty nice down there--in the upper 50s!  It hasn't been that warm around here for months.

Last time I went to Zions, Kyle and I weren't dating but we were talking on the phone every night--because I was in California for the summer.  My family was taking a trip to Provo but we stopped at Zions first.  I was SO EXCITED to see Kyle and go on our first date.  That was when Zions was seriously on fire and we had to cancel the hike we had planned because of the whole smoke inhalation issue.  I still sat outside on the lawn by our hotel to talk to Kyle for hours that night--I remember parts of that conversation even now.  Mom was so worried I would die from the smoke.  Talking to Kyle was too fun though, I wasn't going to miss it for anything.  And two days after that was our first date!  Awwww.  Anyways, Zions is a really big deal to me and I can't wait to take Kyle to my favorite places there.

It's going to be an awesome weekend.
